Astragraphia Main Principal, FUJIFILM Business Innovation Again Achieves EcoVadis Platinum Ranking in Sustainability Category

Singapore, 27 December 2023 - FUJIFILM Business Innovation, the main principle of Astragraphia, has again achieved EcoVadis Platinum ranking in the sustainability category for the third year period. This Platinum rating is given by EcoVadis, an independent institution that provides sustainability performance assessments to the top 1% of 100,000+ companies assessed by EcoVadis throughout the world. The EcoVadis Platinum Rating evaluates company policies and initiatives in four categories: Environment, Labor and human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. More than 100,000+ companies in 200+ industries and 175+ countries have participated in this assessment. All global companies use this evaluation as a prerequisite in their supplier selection.

FUJIFILM Business Innovation excelled in the Environment and Sustainable Procurement category, and this recognition underscores the company's ongoing efforts to create a better environment for everyone. FUJIFILM Business Innovation has developed technologies to reduce power consumption in multifunction printers and simple function printers contributing to society's decarbonization with improved energy-saving performance, including the development of Super EA-Eco Toner*1 with low-temperature melting performance.

To help realize a circular economy (an economic system that aims to reduce waste and pollution by using resources sustainably), FUJIFILM Business Innovation implements various initiatives, including the reuse of used spare parts and sustainable procurement. When it comes to parts reuse, FUJIFILM Business Innovation assesses the performance and safety of used parts before reuse. The company has also launched the ApeosPort-VI C RC series, a color digital multifunction printer with a component reuse rate of up to 84%.

When it comes to sustainable procurement, FUJIFILM Business Innovation considers environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) issues in its procurement process. The company evaluates its partners on their CSR initiatives and requires them to communicate their CSR policies. Employees who have specializations and certifications in environmental and human resources are also deployed to the company's suppliers to evaluate and provide consultation on improving their supply chain processes.
