Additional Features for Layered Security on Fuji Xerox's Latest Machines

ApeosPort/DocuCentre VII C Series

Fuji Xerox defines a holistic security approach that is embedded in the Fuji Xerox ApeosPort / DocuCentre-VII Multifunction Machine, on the basic principles of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. Enhanced security in both the hardware and software of the new Fuji Xerox ApeosPort-VII / DocuCentre-VII Multifunction Machine, combines security features to combat threats to the entire information management cycle.

The management cycle starts from the device level by creating documents, to establish access rights to share documents both internally and externally, to make potential backup plans for all documents scanned for business continuity planning. All of these protections are presented by Fuji Xerox through additional features as follows

1. Authentication without going through the server

This optional feature allows users to authenticate without going through a dedicated server. User authentication information that is registered as an identity card is stored in the parent ApeosPort-VII / DocuCentre-VII, then forwarded to other connected devices. This makes it easy for you to use any device that is connected, and of course, saves money because you don't need a special storage server

2. Printing on demand without going through the server

If the multifunction device that you set as the destination is being used, you can switch your print job to another multifunction device. Check your print job status in the UI panel before printing using the preview view, or change settings such as the number of copies, color mode, and one-sided /two-sided output, all from the UI panel. This improves document security and reduces waste from unnecessary printing.

3. Use of one device by two different departments

With additional Ethernet, two separate networks can be connected to one device. For example, users can be grouped into internal companies with visitors. This system is also easy and safe to use in a collaborative workspace environment

* Only for transferring SMB with print function and box workflow. The printer supported protocol is limited to TCP / IP (Ipd, port 9100).

4. Images from documents also sent to the email

When you send a fax through this machine, you will also receive the fax image. With this feature, you will more easily organize, monitor, and track the whereabouts of your documents. This feature also minimizes data leakage.

5. Safely receive paperless faxes

You can determine which network to use for fax document storage. This feature documents only received faxes that can be checked using a separate network when using two secondary Ethernet LANs.

6. Supports various sizes and various methods of sending data

Customers can use two locations simultaneously scanning features to back up all document streams through the cloud. Various document sizes from A4 and A3 can be scanned at the same time so that it speeds up the process.
